Terms of Service — Smart Office Hub

Last updated: 4 September 2026  ·  Applies to Smart Office Hub (Windows desktop) and Smart Office Hub — Mobile (Android)

These terms govern your use of Smart Office Hub, software published by Saral Apps Hub ("we", "us"). By installing or using the software, you agree to them.

Licensing and payment are covered by our End User Licence Agreement and Refund Policy. Your data is covered by the Smart Office Hub Privacy Policy. Where those documents deal with a subject in detail, they govern it.

1. What the software is

Smart Office Hub is office software for managing files, folders, portals, notes, contacts, registers and case records, with document search, scanning and PDF tools. It runs on your own Windows computer. The companion Android app shows you files you have chosen to sync to your own Google Drive.

It is a tool, not a service. We do not operate a server that holds your documents, and the software keeps working on your computer whether or not you can reach us.

2. Licence

The desktop software is paid, licensed per computer through a licence key. The mobile app is free. Full terms are in the EULA.

You may not:

3. Your data is yours, and so is looking after it

Everything you put into the software stays on your own computer and, if you enable Drive sync, in your own Google Drive. We cannot see it, and we cannot recover it.

Keep your own backups. The software includes backup tools; using them is your responsibility. Hardware failure, ransomware, accidental deletion, an interrupted Windows update and similar events can destroy data, and we cannot restore it for you.

4. Acceptable use

You are responsible for what you store and do with the software. You agree not to use it:

If you use the software in a government or institutional setting, following your own department's rules on data handling is your responsibility, not ours.

5. Google Drive sync (optional)

Drive sync is off by default and only uploads after you turn it on and pick what to include. Files go to your Google Drive account under your own agreement with Google, not to us.

Google's availability, quota and pricing are outside our control. If you run out of Drive space or Google changes its terms or API, sync may stop working; the rest of the software is unaffected, and you can continue using it without Drive.

6. Local network sharing

The software can share files with devices on your own network. Enabling it is your decision, and securing your network — Wi-Fi password, who is on it, who you pair a device with — is your responsibility.

7. Updates

We may release updates that fix problems, change behaviour, or add and remove features. The software can check for and install updates. We do not promise that any particular feature will exist forever, though we will not remove one casually.

8. Third-party services and content

The software can open government portals and other websites, download an optional OCR engine, and connect to Google Drive. Those are operated by other people under their own terms. We are not responsible for their content, availability or conduct.

9. No warranty

The software is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted or error-free, that search or OCR results will be complete or accurate, or that it will meet a particular legal or record-keeping requirement. OCR and text extraction are imperfect, especially on handwriting and poor scans — verify anything that matters against the original document.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or business interruption, arising out of your use of or inability to use the software.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the software is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Termination

You may stop using the software at any time. We may terminate a licence if these terms or the EULA are materially breached — for example licence-key abuse or redistribution. On termination you must stop using the software and remove it. Your data stays yours: it is on your own computer and in your own Drive, and termination does not give us any access to it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Sehore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top. Continuing to use the software after a change means you accept it. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
